Building industry – EPS is used by builders as an effective insulator in constructions made from all kinds of base structural materials. Flat panels are used under concrete to help in the insulation of concrete floors while it can also be used in stud wall construction and floors and ceilings to help maximise heat retention and sound proofing. Plumbers use EPS to insulate pipe work to minimise the risk of freezing while electricians use it in underfloor heating installations.
